Find your pack size

Buying a backpack without knowing your frame size is the #1 way to end a trip with a wrecked back. Enter your measurements and trip length — we'll tell you the exact size to buy and match you to packs that come in it.

The number that actually sizes a pack is your torso length — not your height. Two people the same height can wear different frame sizes. Measure it once and you'll never guess again.

Your measurements

Inches. Torso length is the one that matters most.

How to measure it (2 min)
Tilt your head forward and find the bony bump at the base of your neck — that's your C7 vertebra. Put your hands on the top shelf of your hip bones (the iliac crest), thumbs pointing toward your spine. Have someone measure straight down your spine from the C7 bump to the level of your thumbs. That length in inches is your torso size.

We'll estimate your frame size from height, but measuring your torso is far more accurate — same-height people vary a lot.

Measure around the top of your hip bones (not your pants waist). Most packs have adjustable belts, so this is a guide.

Enter your torso length (or height) and pick a trip length, then hit  Fit my pack.
